Frequently asked questions

Every answer here is written with the actual numbers and rules the system enforces, not with hedged wording. If your question is missing, write to us.

Your account

Signing up, signing in, personal data and deletion.

Do I need an account to browse courses?

No. Browsing, searching, reading any course description, curriculum and reviews, and watching the free preview lessons all work without signing in.

An account is required at your first purchase or when joining an academy community, because a course is tied to your account rather than to your browser.

How do I create an account, and what do you ask for?

A name, an email address and a password — or instead, your phone number with a one-time code sent by SMS.

We never ask a student for a civil ID or an identity document. Those are requested only from teachers, as part of know-your-customer checks before their first payout.

I forgot my password and the reset email never arrives.

Request the reset link from the "forgot password" page and check your spam folder first — that is where most of them end up.

If nothing arrives within fifteen minutes, the registered address is probably not the one you expect. Write to us from the address you used at purchase, quoting any previous order reference, and we will reconnect the account once ownership is confirmed.

How do I delete my account, and what happens to my courses?

The deletion request lives in account settings. It completes within thirty days, and during that window a single sign-in cancels it.

Deletion is final: you lose access to every purchased course with no refund, and you are removed from every community. Download your certificates before confirming.

Some records must survive: invoices and payment records are retained for the period accounting rules require, decoupled from your profile as far as possible.

Buying and paying

Accepted methods, currencies, invoices and coupons.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Visa and Mastercard credit and prepaid cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices — all of them cleared through Stripe. PayPal is available for buyers outside the GCC.

For instalments, Tamara and Tabby split the course price into four interest-free payments with no extra fees to you. Prices and payments stay in US dollars whichever method you pick.

Payment happens on the licensed provider's page, not on our servers. We never see or store your card number — we receive a secure token that stands for the transaction.

We do not accept direct transfers to a teacher's account. Every sale runs through the platform so it can be documented, refunded and invoiced.

Is the displayed price final, or are fees added at checkout?

The price on the course card is what you pay. We add no service fee and no gateway fee to students.

Tax is calculated from the buyer's country and itemised in the order summary before you confirm: currently zero per cent in Kuwait, fifteen per cent in Saudi Arabia and ten per cent in Bahrain.

Where do I find my invoice?

Every successful purchase generates a sequentially numbered invoice in "My orders" in your account, and a copy is emailed to you as soon as payment is confirmed.

If you are buying on behalf of a company, add its name and tax number in account settings before purchasing so the invoice is right the first time.

I paid but the course did not open. What now?

Do not pay again. Open "My orders" and check the status: "processing" means the provider has not confirmed yet, which usually takes minutes.

If it stays pending for more than an hour, or your statement shows a charge with no matching order, send support the transaction reference from your bank statement. We verify and either open access or refund within one working day.

An accidental duplicate purchase of the same course is refunded in full, even beyond the usual watched-percentage limit.

How do I use a discount coupon?

Enter the code in the coupon box on the checkout page before confirming; the effect appears immediately in the order summary.

Coupons are issued by teachers for their own courses or by the platform during seasonal campaigns, and each has an expiry date and a usage cap. Coupons cannot be stacked, and none can be applied after payment is complete.

Learning and certificates

Access duration, playback, downloads, quizzes and verification.

How long do I keep access to a course I bought?

Lifetime access, as long as your account exists and the course is published. No monthly fee and no renewal.

Updates the teacher later adds to the same course reach you at no extra cost.

If the teacher's subscription lapses or they leave the platform, your access to what you bought survives. That is written into the teacher agreement, not a verbal promise.

Can I download videos and watch them offline?

No. Video is streamed over HLS through short-lived signed, domain-locked URLs, and there is no downloadable file. That is a protection condition for teachers' content.

Attached files — workbooks, templates and exercise files — are downloadable and yours to keep without restriction.

Offline viewing inside the mobile app is planned for a later wave, and will be temporary and encrypted inside the app rather than an open file.

Playback stutters or will not start. How do I fix it?

The player picks quality automatically from your connection; pin it to a lower rung in the player settings if your link is unstable.

Try a different browser, or turn off your VPN — signed URLs can be rejected if your location changes mid-playback.

If it persists, send us the course name, the lesson number and your browser and version. Problems affecting a paid course get a first reply within four working hours.

How do I get a certificate, and can it be verified?

The certificate is issued automatically at one hundred per cent lesson completion, plus a pass on the final quiz where the teacher requires one.

Each certificate carries a unique verification code and a public page. Anyone — an employer or a training body — can open the "verify a certificate" page, enter the code, and see the holder's name, the course, the issue date and its status.

The certificate evidences completion of a course on ataa. It is not an academic accreditation from a government education body, and we say so plainly so you do not build the wrong expectation on it.

How do quizzes and retakes work?

The teacher sets the pass mark and the number of attempts for each quiz, and both are shown before you start.

All your attempts are kept in your record and the highest score counts. Question order may change between attempts.

For teachers

Packages, commission, the trial, payouts and publishing.

How do the packages work, and what separates them?

Two packages, billed monthly or yearly: Starter and Professional. Both allow unlimited courses, videos, members and live sessions.

The substantive difference is the commission on each sale: ten per cent on Starter and 2.9 per cent on Professional. Professional also adds the affiliate programme and a custom domain.

The yearly plan costs the equivalent of ten months — two months free. Local prices in Kuwaiti dinar and Saudi riyal are listed in full on the pricing page.

When does upgrading to Professional pay for itself?

When the commission you save exceeds the difference in subscription. The gap between the two rates is about 7.1 percentage points, which puts the break-even near $1,394 of monthly sales.

You do not have to work that out yourself: the teacher dashboard shows exactly what last month would have saved you on Professional, using your real sales figures.

How does the fourteen-day free trial work?

Fourteen days on either package, with a card required at the start — that keeps out throwaway accounts and lets the trial convert without an interruption.

Nothing is charged before the period ends, and reminders reach you on day ten, day thirteen and day fourteen by email and WhatsApp.

Cancelling before the end of day fourteen is free and takes one click in subscription settings. We do not ask for a reason.

When do I get paid, and what are the conditions?

After each sale your share enters the pending balance, and moves to the available balance after seven days, which covers the start of the refund window.

Payouts run in a weekly batch every Tuesday to your registered IBAN, with a $50 minimum. Anything below the minimum rolls into the following week.

Before the first payout, know-your-customer documents must be complete and bank account ownership verified. The payouts screen shows both balances, the next batch date and a per-order breakdown.

Can a commission increase be applied to my past sales?

No. The rate is captured at the moment the purchase completes and stored on the order itself. Any later change to package prices or rates applies to subsequent sales only.

The rule is stated explicitly in the teacher agreement, and you can see it on your statement: each order carries the rate that was actually applied to it.

How long does course review take before publishing?

First review within two working days. We check that the listing is complete, that audio and video are usable, that the content matches the description, and that it contains no protected material you do not hold rights to.

A rejection is not final: you receive specific notes down to the lesson and timestamp, and a resubmission is reviewed within one working day.

Refunds

Both conditions, the exceptions, and how long the money takes.

What exactly is the refund policy?

Two conditions together: no more than fourteen days since purchase, and no more than twenty per cent of the course watched.

When both hold, the request is approved automatically on the spot — no human review, and we do not ask why.

Days count from payment confirmation, not from your first view, and the watched percentage is measured from real progress in the player rather than from how many lessons you opened.

How do I request a refund?

From "My orders" in your account: pick the order, then "request a refund".

Before you confirm, the page shows your watched percentage and the days remaining, so you know the outcome before submitting rather than waiting for a reply.

I am past the window or the percentage. Is that the end of it?

No. The request is not auto-rejected; it goes to manual review, completed within three working days.

We usually approve: a technical fault that blocked viewing and was not resolved, a material mismatch between the course description and its content, an accidental duplicate purchase, a course withdrawn before you finished it, or a documented exceptional circumstance.

We usually do not approve requests that arrive after most of the course is complete or after the certificate is issued, nor a repeating pattern from the same account that suggests the policy is being worked rather than relied on.

When does the money reach me?

We issue the refund instruction to the payment provider within one working day of approval. After that it depends on the issuing bank: typically five to ten working days for cards, up to fourteen with some banks; Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds appear on the underlying card.

The money always returns to the method you paid with. We do not send it to a different account or to store credit unless returning it to source is technically impossible — and then we contact you first.

What about free courses and gifted courses?

A free course has nothing to refund, and you can unenrol at any time.

A gift is refunded to whoever paid, not to whoever received it, under the same rule: fourteen days from purchase and twenty per cent of the recipient's viewing. Once refunded, the recipient's access ends.

Should I raise a dispute with my bank instead?

Write to us first. A bank dispute takes weeks and freezes the order throughout, whereas a request inside the policy is approved here in seconds.

If you do open one, we respond to the bank with the order record, the watched percentage and the access log. Until it is resolved, access to the disputed course is suspended.

Community

Membership, points and levels, and the conduct rules.

What is an academy community, and who can join?

Every academy has its own community: posts, discussion, questions and answers, announcements and live sessions.

Some are open to any registered user; others are limited to people who bought a course from that academy. The condition is shown on the academy page before you request to join.

How do points and levels work?

You earn points when other members engage with your posts and comments — not merely for posting. The aim is to reward useful contributions rather than volume.

There are nine levels, each with an Arabic name climbing from "beginner" upward, and your level badge appears next to your name inside the academy.

Points are counted per academy, and a teacher can gate extra content behind a level — unlocking a bonus module at level three, for instance.

What are the rules, and how do I report a violation?

No unapproved commercial advertising, no links to pirated material, no personal abuse, and no publishing other people's private data.

Every post and comment has a report button. Reports reach both the academy's teacher and the platform team, and serious cases are reviewed within twenty-four hours.

Sharing your account or leaking paid content suspends the account without refund, because it damages the teacher directly.
